Who is ARV ?
ARV-American Rottweiler Verein is one of the oldest Rottweiler clubs in America, Established in 1990 by founder and first president Eckart Salquist. ARV was formed for the purpose of bringing German style Sieger shows and Schutzhund trials here to USA. Eckart also had a another goal in mind, that was to help educate the public about the true purpose of the Rottweiler and in return bettering the breed.

BSE/ZTP & Koroung
Breed Suitability Test
In Germany it is a requirement by law that a Rottweiler must pass a Breed Suitability test before it can be bred. We at the ARV feel that this is very important in maintaining the breeds true temperament.

IGP Trials
Open to all breeds
The main purpose ARV was formed was for Schutzhund . They now call this IGP which is a three phase test in front of a judge with you and your dog. Obedience, Tracking and Protection.
